A native of Southern California, Ms. Evans studied at the Univeristy of Southern California and the California Institute of the Arts, graduating with honors. She began her career at Warner Brothers Studio, when Oscar winning Production Designer John Truscott selected her as his assistant to design and sketch for the Warner Brothers Oscar award winning film "Camelot". Her numerous credits, mostly in the field of television, include commercials, creating the Toys R' Us giraffe family, to specials, movies of the week, Television series work, and Costume Design for Opryland USA, in Nashville, Tennessee.

In Television, Ms. Evans began her design work on the controversial comedy hit "Soap" where she created zany costumes for the "Soap" cast.  Her talents won her an Emmy Award for "Beauty and the Beast" in 1989 and Emmy nominations for both "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Golden Girls" in 1986, 1987 and 1988. Ms. Evans is a member of the Costume Designers Guild, and a past member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

In a step befitting the fine arts and her design talent, Ms. Evans also works in the ceramic arts. Her studies under potter Ed Brannan have led to her current "SuriSculptures" presented here for your viewing. Ms. Evans sculptures have been purchased by notable alpaca breeders, both through private sales and as donations to the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, and its local affiliates. Ms. Evans, with Husband Ray Steele own Polo Field Farm and breed Suri Alpacas.
