The Artist:
Judy Evans Steele |
In Television, Ms. Evans began her design work on the controversial comedy hit "Soap" where she created zany costumes for the "Soap" cast. Her talents won her an Emmy Award for "Beauty and the Beast" in 1989 and Emmy nominations for both "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Golden Girls" in 1986, 1987 and 1988. Ms. Evans is a member of the Costume Designers Guild, and a past member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In a step befitting the fine arts and her design talent, Ms. Evans also works in the ceramic arts. Her studies under potter Ed Brannan have led to her current "SuriSculptures"™ presented here for your viewing. Ms. Evans sculptures have been purchased by notable alpaca breeders, both through private sales and as donations to the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, and its local affiliates. Ms. Evans, with Husband Ray Steele own Polo Field Farm and breed Suri Alpacas.
